Photographically:
You certainly have a vision for this. And I don't have much help to give you on the technicalpart here or composition in general.
Post-Processing: This is where I would make a few adjustments. The reason for this is the composition of you image. You've got a nice mechanicalpart to this image and I can agree with the selective coloring to some extent, but I would not have bothered with the red at all. The reason is simply because the corner is distracting to your composition here. The blue/orange goes very well in this image because they are leadinglines to something that's allready symmetric. Also adding a weak vignette will help your cause a bit here, because the top corners are a little pale and you might as well use a vignette to strengthen the composition eventhough it's quite clear.
Summary: You are a very creative soul and got a vision few have. To be fair the quality of your camera holds you back a little, so there you have a reason to wish for a DSLR for christmas
